There are several ways you can get the latest GeoShell release:

• Download the installer
• Download the zip file containing all the files, plus the installer code
• Download the source code

Of course, you can also get all sorts of previous releases including the most recent full point release. Any way you go about it, you're bound to enjoy the experience, but to be as helpful as possible, we've linked here the recommended download for new users: Latest Installer.

The recommended download for upgrading: is also the Latest Installer, because in the last few beta releases there have been some important changes in the registry settings which are most easily handled through the installer. The installer does have an upgrading option, and will leave as much of your settings as possible intact. Specifically: in the R4.10.11 installer you will most likely end up with the default settings for your skins and drag-and-drop, but all of your bar layouts, plugins, and hotkeys will be maintained.
